I'm Geri G., the breeder behind Gulstad’s Shelties located in Buffalo, MN. We are a small hobby breeding program. We only breed once every one to two years. This allows us to care for our dogs in the way they deserve. We breed healthy, happy pups! They are very loved and will be the perfect addition to your own home. We love them and so will you.

Why did you start breeding?
We have had Shelties in the house since 1992. They are the perfect family dog and so hard to find, so we have 1 litter a year ( usually) and always have a long waitlist of people who have had Shelties and are searching for another. I was raised on a farm and have had breeding dogs since I was a child.What makes your program special?
The dogs are part of the family, the pups are raised in the home ( with me here full time) they are extensively socialized (and grandkids love puppy time ) we have been breeding since the mid-1990s and have people coming back for puppies because the most common comment is “ this is the best dog they’ve ever had”.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black white and tan, black and white, and sable and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Price
"The price includes puppy registration papers, first shots ,micro chipped and vet report. $300.00 deposit to hold puppy, payable when pup is chosen. the balance due when you pick her / him up."

Program update on 29 May 2025 •…The pups have started having car rides, and they've been calm and quiet for each ride ( so far) and have been meeting more dogs & people. They are very social , easy going pups!

Litter update on 27 May 2025 •…The pups are loving it outside! They already get the idea of waiting to go potty until they are outside. They are very bright pups and will be easy to housebreak. They come when I call " puppies" they LOVE people!! The pictures show them playing with their Grandma Pooka and Mom Kia .there are 7 pups in the litter , all thriving, 2 are still available ,Alice & Bobby .

Agouti DNA Test, Animal Genetics Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
