I'm Katie P., the breeder behind Gwynt Standard Poodles located in St. Augustine, FL. *Some litters may be located in Cleveland, TN with Jonna Welch. Here at Gwynt Standard Poodles, we are dedicated to the health and integrity of this spectacular breed. Whether you are seeking a show/performance prospect or the perfect companion to add to your life we can help! We breed very selectively and only when a positive contribution to the breed can be accomplished so we do not have puppies available at all times. However, we believe it takes the spirit of community to achieve these goals so we may be able to put you in touch with fellow breeders that can meet your needs if we cannot.
Q. & A. with Katie
Why did you start breeding?
After obtaining my first poodle in 2008 I fell in love with the breed. I was eager to participate in performance and conformation and found that there was so very much to learn! First and foremost was that I had purchased my dog from a less than ideal breeder. That propelled me into pursuing the RIGHT reasons and methods to improve the breed I adore.
What makes your program special?
We breed very selectively and only when a positive contribution to the breed can be accomplished. Sires and dams are thoroughly tested for known health issues and demonstrate excellence in conformation and/or performance. Along with intelligence and structure, temperament is paramount to ensuring our pups are a joy to have in one's home.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
