I'm Kaylee D., the breeder behind Halcyon Cardigan Welsh Corgis located in Palouse, WA. The Cardigan Welsh Corgi is a versatile and active breed. I am dedicated to producing dogs that are sound and correct in structure, health and temperament, and prioritize health and temperament testing and titling to prove as such.
Q. & A. with Kaylee
Why did you start breeding?
I fell in love with the breed in 2013 when I was given the opportunity to assist with whelping and raising a litter. I have been learning, showing, training and co-breeding since then, and am finally ready to take the next step as a preservation breeder of these fantastic dogs. I aim to provide people with that once-in-a-lifetime dog that they hold in their hearts forever, the way I was.
What makes your program special?
I have been involved with rescue, education and therapy work for many years and know just how vital it is for our animals to receive the proper foundation for a long, fulfilled life, as well as the remarkable impact animals have on our lives. My goal is to provide people with well-bred companions for whatever goals they may have--be it an active competitive life or simply relaxing at home.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
