I'm Alicia S., the breeder behind Hallelujah Retrievers located in Ogden, IL. Our hope is to prepare each of our puppies with thoughtful socialization so they have the best foundation to seamlessly transition into their new homes.
Q. & A. with Alicia
Why did you start breeding?
I was exposed to breeding through my mentors in field training. I have always had an interest in pedigree research. The breeder I got my first working female from helped me raise select a sire and raise my first litter.
What makes your program special?
I select health tested, and proven working lines for the field. Breeding for drive, intelligence, and trainability. I introduce the puppies to as many surfaces, sounds, and experiences as I safely can to produce confident individuals with a desire to learn. New owners willing to put in the time and consistency, should find them easy to train for hunting, SAR, and dog sports/competition.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
