I'm Maria H., the breeder behind Hannau Doxies located in Pittsboro, NC. We are a small family breeder. We provide families with quality puppies as we continue to learn & grow! We work hard to breed exemplary dogs that are well taken care of from day one and are prepared to excel in loving and caring homes. AKC registered litter.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I first thought about breeding after I lost my dachshund Mitzi. Months later, I decided to get a female, then a male and the rest is history. I had my first litter in April 2023 and love what I do! I get to love these babies and prepare them for their new families. It's a lot of work but so fulfilling

  • What makes your program special?

    These are my babies. I care deeply about where my babies go! I send pictures or videos about every other day or so to show how your baby is growing, developments, and social skills they learn while here.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, sable, cream, brindle, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and $2,150 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    maria was super knowledgeable about the breed. she made the process super easy. she welcomed me into her home to visit the puppies and her dogs. you can tell she truly loves breeding and cares for the dogs. she always sent pictures and videos every few days! i’m so happy i chose maria as a breeder. even after willow came home, maria has been wonderful at answering all my questions. she checks in to see how willow is doing since being home.
