Meet the breeder

I'm Happy Beards, the breeder behind Happy Beard Schnauzers located in Saratoga Springs, UT. I've owned schnauzers my entire life! In 1992, while completing my BS in Animal Science (pre-vet), I began breeding schnauzers. I have a lifetime of knowledge and interaction with schnauzers. Q. & A. with Happy Beards

  • Why did you start breeding?

I began breeding Miniature Schnauzers during my time in my pre-vet program. Here at Happy Beards, our focus is on raising happy, healthy puppies. I feel that health testing is the most important aspect of breeding. I strive for quality and excellence with everything that I do. Holding myself to high standards is paramount to the well-being of my dogs and to the integrity of my program.
  • What makes your program special?

I can offer families lifetime support that's backed up by my continuing education in genetics, breed specific education, dog training, & science advancements in the canine world throughout my life; there is ALWAYS more to learn. In my breeding program, good health and temperament are essential, & cuteness and love are guaranteed. I look forward to connecting with you and your family.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Giant Schnauzer puppies are black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

It was a wonderful experience getting our puppy from Happy Beard! He flew the puppy over by himself to us. Both parents have been OFA tested, so we can worry less about the health of our dog. Oreo came home well behaved and learned where to go potty very quickly inside the house probably because he was already litter box trained before we got him. Everything was great, we love to have Kipper with our family!

We love our new littler girl, Lily! She is sweet, friendly and very active! Happy Beards did a wonderful job! She was crate trained from the beginning and had a good start to potty training. Happy Beards communicated well and we met at a designated location as scheduled.

As the proud moms of Theodore, we are overjoyed to share how deeply this little schnauzer has changed our lives for the better. From the moment he arrived in January 2024, Theodore felt like he had always belonged with us. He is the sweetest boy—affectionate, playful, gentle, and wonderfully well-mannered. It was clear from the start that he had been lovingly raised and thoughtfully trained. We were so impressed with how smooth the entire process was. Theodore was flown to us with care, and the breeders were a dream to work with—responsive, kind, and genuinely invested in their pups’ wellbeing. They answered all of our questions, guided us through the process, and made sure Theodore’s transition home was seamless. We are endlessly grateful for the gift of our boy. If you are looking to welcome a baby schnauzer into your home, we couldn’t recommend this breeder more. Their love, intention, and integrity shine through in every step—and especially in every snuggle with Theodore.

Everything went really well with Happy Beard Schnauzers. They are great communicators and kept me up to date with scheduling on the day of pick up. Very easy to work with. The pick up went smoothly and the puppy was in great shape and perky.

Our experience with Happy Beard was amazing from the first message to pick up. Our little Ophelia has settled in very well and we were well prepared for her thanks to the info we got in advance. Cory met us halfway making it just a day trip for us and the communication was excellent. We will definitely adopt from them again if/when we’re looking for another baby.

I would highly reccommend "HAPPY BEARDS SCHNAUZERS" to anyone wanting to add a schnauzer to their family. Owner "Cory" and his wife were very accommodating in contacting us, providing information, photos and walking us through the purchase process right up to delivering our puppy named "Poppi" to our hotel. They provided us with food, toys, blanket with momma scent, papers and health records, info. etc.........We were so pleased with this Breeder, they care for their dogs and it is very apparent. Oh.....and we absolutely love our new puppy!!
