I'm Stephanie M., the breeder behind Happy Little Yorkies located in Bagota, TX. We are blessed with the opportunity to manage the creation of new life within this wonderful breed. We help bring up happy, connected, intelligent and balanced puppies. We try to stick to the traditional Yorkshire standard, but even more importantly revive the true spirit of these mighty little dogs.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We are blessed to manage new life within this wonderful breed; bring up happy, connected, intelligent, balanced puppies, upholding traditional standard and spirit of these mighty little dogs. Our adults are as agile as the original ancestors bred in the 19 century as working dogs, as fancy as those who sat in the laps of rich Victorian Ladies and as brave and loyal as of their American matriarch.

  • What makes your program special?

    After years of breeding German Shepherds, Labradors and Great Pyrenees as Service Dogs, we were introduced to the Yorkshire Terriers. We have grown to love them. They are a part of our family and working ranch. They are raised around Children, Horses, Goats, Sheep, Chickens, Bunnies, Cats... We do not breed every heat and have done the necessary health checks with multiple vets prior to breeding.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black and tan, blue and gold, and black and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Stephanie

Stephanie has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and between $3,000 - $4,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Price depends on Champion Line vs Pet and includes 30 Day Insurance, Health Certificate and Guarantee, Tail Docking, Vaccination and Deworming, Socialization, AKC Litter Certification & Puppy Package. Deposit is fully refundable if puppy does not pass health certification, but it is otherwise none-refundable."

Contract & health guarantee

Stephanie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

    Yes! Stephanie from Happy Little Yorkies had a very informative showing of her litter of puppies 🐶 We chose Stephanie out 4 other breeders some even closer to where we live too. We asked her many questions & pics. She came back with answers & more pics of the litter that made our choice of Yellow Girl a fantastic choice & experience. We talked over texts, emails & by phone. When it came to pick our new little girl. Stephanie also met us halfway from where we lived. She was on time at our meeting place she explained all the details of what the little had from the Vet., paperwork from parents & for our new baby too. Also she gave us what she was feeding her, potty training. We made a great discussion with Breeder Stephanie at Happy Little Yorkie. Our experience was Fantastic.
