Harbert Ranch Terriers

Amber H.

Breeder of Scottish Terriers

Meet the breeder

I'm Amber H., the breeder behind Harbert Ranch Terriers located in Fort Mitchell, AL. Our dogs are family members first and foremost. We're passionate, responsible breeders who truly love our dogs. We devote our time, energy, and efforts to each litter to ensure our puppies are properly socialized from the moment they are born and prepared to excel in their forever homes. All of our adults are Embark tested and free of genetic diseases including CMO and VWD. We have one CMO carrier, whose puppies will only be sold limited registration (no breeding rights) to ensure that she does not pass her copy to any unscrupulous breeders. We usually have black and wheaten pups, and the occasional tiger striped brindles. All puppies come vet checked with fecal exam, dewormed, have their first shots, and come with a care package. They are raised in our home with our children. Please message us on FB at Harbert Ranch Terriers for litter information.

Q. & A. with Amber

  • Why did you start breeding?

We fell in love with Scottish Terriers many years ago. When our first Terrier passed, we realized how hard it is to find them, and how many people were looking. We decided to start breeding a few litters to place and hopefully bring more joy to other families.
  • What makes your program special?

We are devoted to producing healthy, well-socialized puppies to bring joy to families. Each puppy is greatly loved by us! We ensure they are socialized, healthy, and prepared to excel in their forever homes. Our dogs are bred for those specifics and we take pride in our breeding program.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include brindle, wheaten, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
