Meet the breeder

I'm Michelle S., the breeder behind Harrisburg Shih Tzus located in Harrisburg, PA. We have high expectations for our puppies and strive to find loving families for each one. We are committed to preparing them for their new homes and enjoy working with their new families so that they can raise their beloved companions with confidence!

Q. & A. with Michelle

  • Why did you start breeding?

I love having shih tzus and our breeder retired, so I wanted to carry the torch. I had shih tzus growing up and loved it so much. The whole process is so incredible, watching Piper become a Mom. Seeing her smile and nurture her puppies, and having my own kids involved in the process.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs reside with us and are well cared for, or spoiled, depending on your perspective. The puppies are well socialized with other dogs and people. Above all, my dogs health is most important.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Michelle was an outstanding breeder! She posted consistent updates and photos of all of the pups. She was also flexible with pickup since I live over 4 hours away. Boss was obviously socialized very well. He is super affectionate and a ball of energy!
