I'm Ava H., the breeder behind Hatadox located in Los Angeles, CA. We are a program that emphasizes quality over quantity. Litters are carefully planned to ensure puppies exude ideal temperaments, breed type, and health. All puppies go home on a contract with registration and deworming/shots. All are raised on an early neurological stimulation (ENS) protocol.

What makes your program special?
We are dedicated to the preservation of pedigrees that produce sound, quality dogs. Our dogs are bred with temperament, structure, and health in mind. All of these qualities produce dogs of correct Dachshund “type”, meaning what makes a Dachshund a Dachshund! All puppies are sold on contract. This means if you are unable to keep the dog, it MUST come back to us. More information will be provided.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
