Meet the breeder

I'm Gianina Q., the breeder behind Haus Ernand Dachshunds located in Miami, FL. Welcome to Haus Ernand Dachshunds. We are a family owned, home based breeding program devoted to raising healthy, happy longhair dachshunds. Our dogs are cherished members of our family and raised with love, care, and intention. We hope to share the joy of dachshund ownership with othersI’m a lifelong animal lover who grew up with different types of dogs but most notably my first doxie, Chucky. I learned early how to care for the breed (especially their backs). I’m an attorney by day, but doxies are my true passion. I also love to foster pups, belong to a local dachshund club, and spend my free time at meetups, socializing my dogs, and being fully obsessed with all things doxie!

Q. & A. with Gianina

  • Why did you start breeding?

I grew up around dogs and ethical breeding, my parents bred Neapolitan Mastiffs when I was a child. I loved being involved in the whelping process and helping raise puppies from day one. Dachshunds later became my favorite breed, and now I’m excited to breed them alongside my parents and help others experience the joy of owning happy, healthy, well-bred dachshunds raised with care and intention.
  • What makes your program special?

What makes our breeding program special is how deeply involved we are in our dogs’ lives. Our dogs are family. They travel with us, train with us, attend breed events, and are highly socialized. We prioritize health, education, and lifelong care, and every dog stays with us for life, including after retirement. That same commitment is given to every puppy we raise.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, black, brindle, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
