Meet the breeder

I'm Sophia M., the breeder behind Haus of Hound located in Brookfield, WI. We raise each Doberman puppy with love, structure, and thoughtful care. Our in-home program emphasizes early socialization and sound temperaments—building strong foundations for confident, family-ready companions and offering lifelong support.

Q. & A. with Sophia

  • Why did you start breeding?

After years of admiring the Doberman’s intelligence and loyalty, I welcomed my first as both a companion and protector. The bond we built inspired me to learn everything I could about health, temperament, and breeding. I started this program to share the joy of a well-bred Doberman with families who value both heart and purpose.
  • What makes your program special?

What makes my program special is the intentional balance of structure, affection, and purpose. Puppies are raised in my home with early socialization, exposure to family life, and a foundation in confidence-building—creating Dobermans who are loyal, loving companions and capable natural protectors.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and rust, blue and rust, and red and rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
