I'm Melissa B., the breeder behind Haven Creek Farm located in Lakeview, MI. Here at Haven Creek Farm our dogs are our passion. We breed for the intellect, stamina and loyalty, trainability, physical endurance, drive with an off button to name a few. Our dogs display solid genetics and health traits due to responsible and knowledgable breeding techniques.

Why did you start breeding?
My grandparents raised English Shepard’s and I loved them but fell so in love with the quirkiness ,intelligence and characteristics of the amazing border collie when we first got one back in the eighties. We have strived since then to raise high quality BC while still maintaining their amazing intelligence, athleticism and awesome personalities. We only raise to better the breed. We know Border Collie. We only raise Border Collies. We breed only for the best and to better the breed. All our four legged fur babies are health tested and we only breed for the best quality.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

"Haven Creek pups are from amazing genetic foundations and come with a veterinarian well visit. Price reflects our dedication. Sale/Contract forms must be filled out at website www.havencreekfarm.com . Deposit is refundable up to eight weeks. If you change your mind at eight weeks-pickup, we keep $50 to re list the puppy. The deposit can be transferred to a different litter in the future also."

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Early Adult Onset Deafness (EAOD), DNA Profile, DNA Coat/Trait Panel, Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Animal Genetics Panel, DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Melissa was very lovely to work with while my Fiance and I were adopting Oakley (formerly Cherry)! She sent several pictures and responded timely with every question we had. When Oakley arrived Melissa even had sent a little care package! Oakley continues to snuggle with the elephant toy that Melissa sent every night in her crate. Oakley herself is very sweet, playful and adorable! She even has the most beautiful coat that seems to resemble her dads! We could not be happier with our experience!
