I'm Lisa D., the breeder behind Hawks Acres Shelties located in Waynesville, GA. I offer top quality, bred to standard, happy, and healthy puppies for families and individuals that love this amazing breed as much as I do. My breeding dogs come from Champion and Grand Champion AKC lines. My dogs are part of my family, first and foremost. I usually have 3 or 4 sleeping in bed with me at night. I complete various genetic health tests (MDR1, CEA, DM, VWD3, PRA, and DMS) before breeding parents, and I offer a three year health guarantee against these diseases. I breed for quality, not quantity. I look forward to connecting with you!

Why did you start breeding?
I bought my first puppy in 1989, and I started to participate in shows. I then fell so deeply in love with Shetland Sheepdogs that they inspired me to start my breeding program. I have not looked back since, and I'm excited to have the privilege to share this wonderful breed with families.What makes your program special?
My dogs are excellent examples of the breed, come from champion and grand champion AKC lines. I dedicate my life to my dogs. My puppies get my full attention each day, practicing ENS every day. My potential families get frequent updates through videos and photos I prepare at least weekly so they can see them grow and interact with each other. I offer life-time support, and if the situation occurs where you can no longer care for your dog, I will gladly give them a home, no matter what age. I love what I do, and I'm looking forward to speaking with you about taking home one of my wonderful puppies.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable merle and white, sable and white, blue merle white and tan, black white and tan, blue merle and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Lisa
Lisa has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Lisa partners with them to find the best puppy match.

"Plus taxes and fees Deposit amount of $500.00 will be applied to final price. The $500.00 is a non-refundable holding fee. It guarantees your pick order on my premium wait list. It will be applied to your final payment. If something happens to the puppy you have chosen before pick up day, the Deposit of $500.00 will be applied to the next litter."

Gorgeous light silver blue eyes, with perfect tan markings. AKC registered. 14", 21 lbs. Huge full white collar and length of coat. Coat length usually passes to puppies. Wonderful temperament, trained as my registered ESA dog. A few of his puppies are also ESA dogs. Very loving personality. A true mommy's boy.

Beautiful light sable. Isabella has an excellent pedigree with many generations of CH and GRCH. Really nice, thick coat, which is getting longer with age. AKC registered, 14", 20 lbs. She has a gorgeous face with almond eyes that could melt anyone's heart. She has a playful personality and loves her mommy. She loves to sit on my lap and get belly rubs. Up-to-date on all DNA testing; which she got exellent results on all.

My experience with Hawks Acres Shetland Sheepdogs has been excellent. I was in contact with the breeder prior to the birth of my puppy and she answered all my many questions during the process. After the birth and selection of my puppy, she sent me weekly pictures/videos keeping me informed of the development of my puppy. At no time during this process did I feel unsettled about the health or care of the puppy I selected. I knew she truly cared for these puppies.
