Meet the breeder

I'm Rochelle T., the breeder behind HCA Aussies located in Turlock, CA. We’re proud of the healthy, affectionate, and behaviorally well-rounded puppies we raise for other families to love! While our goal is to share loving puppies with families, we are still a selective program. We only breed when we’re sure we can produce the healthiest and best example of the breed possible.

Q. & A. with Rochelle

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got into breeding not long after we got our first dog, Blue. Fell in love with the breed but desired for more breeders that were willing to not dock tails. So we do just that. We believe they are just too beautiful!
  • What makes your program special?

Our program is special because it’s family oriented. Our kids are with us every step of the way, gleaning a life long skill & learning to care for animals much smaller than them. Our puppies are raised among kids from the ages of 11-10months old, these puppies don’t know a life where they aren’t held or picked up every chance they get ;) It’s been such a rewarding journey doing this with our kids.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Rochelle has been very communicative since the first day I messaged her. I don’t just look at the puppies — I also pay attention to how breeders treat the parent dogs, and it’s clear that Rochelle cares for them deeply and ethically. So far, Nami is such a healthy, active and sweet pup, and we’re so happy to have her. Our vet have a little concerned about Nami’s genital area — her vulva is slightly covered by skin. He mentioned that she might outgrow it as she develops, but if not, it could increase her risk of UTIs. For now, we’ll just monitor it and see how things progress but I still highly recommend Rochelle to anyone looking to get a puppy.

We had and still have such a good experience with Rochelle. I was looking for a puppy and she was such a good person to work with. She was able to provide updates all the time. We still communicate!! If we ever decided to get another dog I would for sure go to her 🥰 Here is our baby River previously named Schroder🤍

Rochelle was very friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. Our puppy Oreo is an excellent dog and a seems to be a little smarter than our Australian Cattle Dog 😅 I would highly recommend Rochelle if you are looking into having a seamless process for buying a new puppy.

Rochelle is an amazing breeder. Her dogs are a perfect representation of breeds standard and very healthy. Our Sherlock was exposed to early neurological and touch stimulations. He is very confident, trainable and eager to please puppy. He loves playing a lot but is totally happy to sleep all day on rainy days. Sherlock is very calm in public and we can take him anywhere we want to. We would definitely get our second dog from Rochelle as well! Highly recommend!

We had an amazing experience with Rochelle from start to finish. She was very responsive throughout the entire process and always made herself available to answer questions and provide updates. She is very knowledgeable about the breed and does everything she can to make sure that the process is smooth. Rochelle regularly posted updates about the puppies on Instagram and the Good dog app - which was great. It felt like we were part of the journey from day 1, as we watched the puppies grow and develop over the first few months. Denali is a very healthy, happy and energetic little puppy. We can't thank Rochelle enough for everything that she did to prepare Denali for her forever home.

Rochelle was so wonderful and easy to work with. This pup is our 3rd Aussie and he is a gem. He had an amazing start with Rochelle and her family and came pretty much potty trained. Communication was fantastic and responsive. We are super happy!
