I'm Abby I., the breeder behind Heart of Dixie Springers located in Altoona, AL. We are a family from, the Heart of Dixie, that loves our English Springer Spaniels. Our beautiful babies are bred for health and temperament. We are dedicated to providing you with the best friend you could ask for.

Why did you start breeding?
We fell in love with the ESS breed over 20 years ago. Dixie was my & my husband’s first “baby.” We learned that the characteristics we loved so much in her are common characteristics in the ESS breed. They’re smart, protective, loyal, Velcro dogs. They go with the flow. If we’re active they are active with us. If we’re being lazy they’re great couch potatoes. A few years ago we let Kenny & Bella have 2 litters together. They had beautiful puppies. We loved them so much and had a hard time letting them go but it was very rewarding seeing them become a part of great families. Our kids are older now and we have more time on our hands to invest in our pups.What makes your program special?
I really believe my husband loves our dogs more than me & the kids. They are well cared for & spoiled rotten. It’s a little ridiculous😜 We all love our babies & our babies love us. They each have their own favorite human. I’m Kenny’s favorite. My husband is Bella & Mary Ann’s favorite. My daughter is Rascal’s favorite and my son is Darla’s favorite. They’re happy doing anything we’re doing but their absolute favorite things are swimming and riding on the Kawasaki. Our pups have been genetic & health tested and see our amazing Vet regularly.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include tri-roan, orange and white, and black white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
