Meet the breeder

I'm Laura A., the breeder behind Heart of Montana Labradors located in Whitehall, MT. We love to responsibly raise and train our puppies so they have the tools to be well-rounded, beloved family members. We raise our litters in our home to help set the foundation for happy and confident puppies to transition well into their forever homes. It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to make an impact on each individual puppy!

Q. & A. with Laura

  • Why did you start breeding?

We have labs in our family since I was 6 years old. Having a lab puppy around has been some of the best years of my life. I wanted to help that happen for other families. I believe that Labs are the total package and can be trained to do whatever you need them to: family pet, hunting companion, service dog, etc.
  • What makes your program special?

We strive to have healthy and adorable puppies by having healthy, well socialized, good looking parents. We spend an incredible amount of time with our dogs and the puppies when we have them.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Laura was absolutely amazing to work with. She was very responsive and provided all the needed information. Meeting up went very smooth and she was great with explaining a few tips to our kiddo as she picked her puppy. The puppy we brought home has been perfect! He has been very easy to start training and already seemed introduced to potty training. We are so in love with him and are very grateful for the experience!
