Meet the breeder

I'm Cathy/Doug K., the breeder behind Hearth&Hound Doodles located in Allardt, TN. Our dogs are healthy and well socialized giving them great temperaments. We also do potty and crate training. We raise our dogs in our home right alongside our family. We try and match our puppies with families that are the perfect fit for their personalities. We have had good luck. We also do basic training and advanced training for the older pups.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Cathy and I are semi retired and were looking for something rewarding to do as a hobby . We have both had dogs our whole lives and thought it would be rewarding to provide people with quality , home raised pups.

  • What makes your program special?

    We treat our dogs as family. They eat quality food. They are up to date on shots, deworming and get regular vet visits. They also get lots of love and socializing along with training. This ensures them a good start for when its time to go to their forever home.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Aussiedoodle puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Aussiedoodle puppies include sable, blue merle, red merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle and black tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Cathy/Doug

Cathy/Doug has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Cathy/Doug partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $500 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

“Price includes up to date vaccination, deworming, micro chipping, vet health exam and delivery within 3 hours. We can also arrange shipping for folks outside of the area. Some of our pups vary in price however we still ask for the same deposit to hold any of our pups. To hold puppy’s for a longer than normal time period we require 1/2 of the total price for a deposit. If transportation is required over our included 2 hr time frame than 1/2 of the transportation cost is required at time of deposit.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Cathy is wonderful to work with! She is responsive, knowledgeable and is always available to answer questions. I had lost an aussiedoodle one month prior and she was compassionate and caring about the pup I was asking her about and my late pal. We picked up our wittle guy, our Mini Cooper, on April 9.     Doug and Cathy were amazing. This is the first time I've gone through a breeder to get a dog. They made it so easy and seamless. Cathy made sure to send me regular photos and video updates of our Daisy. She also allowed us to video chat with our sweet girl. It allowed us to get to know each other from a distance. Which made us so much more comfortable. They answered all the questions I had, and were very friendly. Daisy is such a sweet addition to our family, and has already stolen everyone's hearts.     Doug and Cathy were absolutely amazing to work with! I had never used good dog before, so I was a little apprehensive, but Doug and Cathy made me feel so comfortable and easily gained my trust. They sent daily updates with pictures up until the day that I got Winnie. They are very prompt in responding and making sure I had all the information I needed to bring her home. When it came time to pick her up, Doug and Cathy were very accommodating with pick ups and meeting at a time that worked with my schedule. They even helped crate train so when I got her, crating her at night was a breeze and super easy which was SO appreciated! Winnie is a beautiful dog and I hope to work with them again in the future!
