I'm Teresa J., the breeder behind Heartland small breeds located in Douglas, GA. We are dedicated to providing families with wonderful loving and healthy pets. We bred for temperament and health. Our fur babies are raised in doors and are part of out family.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I got into breeding years ago, because I love animals. They bring lots of joy to my life and I wanted to share that with other people. Dogs are your best friend and make you fill so loved they need you as much as you need them.

  • What makes your program special?

    Love and care for each dog and puppy . We treat them as their our children because they are. We put a lot of time and attention into each one.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Poodle puppies are toy size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Yorkshire Terrier puppies are black and tan. Poodle puppies are white. Biewer Terrier puppies are black tan and white. Pomeranian puppies include cream, black, and cream sable. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

    I originally contacted another breeder and was in line for a pup but due to a family emergency, had to tell the breeder I could not take the pup at that time. I was heartbroken. A few weeks later, a dear friend sent me a link to one of Teresa's pups. I decided to go ahead and call Teresa and I am so very thankful I did. This little puppy has exceeded my expectations! She is adorable, super smart and will be the perfect little addition to my family. Teresa was so responsive and is very knowledgeable.     Teresa is very knowledgeable about Biewer Terriers and communicates generously. I was able to meet Ellie before making a deposit and fell in love with her sweet nature. Teresa obviously cares for her puppies. Ellie is a magical little dog - she doesn't nip, travels well in the car, was already trained to a turf pad, is friendly and goes along with whatever the activity is. She loves to play and is very affectionate. I'm grateful for all the great care Teresa obviously gave her, and grateful that Ellie found her way to our home!
