Why did you start breeding?
When we decided to add to our grumble, we had difficulty finding a breeder that had genetic testing completed on both mom and dad. We were looking for pugs who embodied the AKC pug dog standard. After months of researching and talking with reputable breeders, the idea of Heartstring Pugs was born. It is our goal to produce amazing and healthy puppies that will bring joy to others.What makes your program special?
Our pugs are part of our family and are treated as such. They are part of our daily lives. They even vacation with us. Pugs are entertainers. They enjoy being with their family. Our pug babies are part of our family. We strive to raise beautiful, healthy, and well socialized little pups that will steal your heart.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Mindy
Mindy has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $2,200 - $3,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Puppies come with limited AKC pet registration. Puppies will have their first set of shots, health certificate, and health guarantee. There is also a bag of goodies to help them adapt to their home. A deposit of $300.00 is required to hold your puppy. If there is not a puppy of the color/sex of your preference in the current litter, the deposit can be transferred to another litter.”
Contract & health guarantee
Mindy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (PKD), Pug Type, DNA Disease Panel, Pug Dog Encephalitis (PDE)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
