I'm Sarah H., the breeder behind Helm Farms Aussies located in Geary, OK. We offer quality-bred working dogs. We hand raise each of our puppies to ensure a reliable temperament and cherished companionship. We strive to produce outstanding puppies that are structurally sound, healthy, intuitive, and have wonderful temperaments. We love our dogs and what we do, and we strive to make each puppy a great contribution to his or her forever home.

Why did you start breeding?
It is such an honor to preserve the line of these incredible dogs all the while creating companionship for others. Our goal is to not only produce beautiful puppies but to help promote responsible breeding in order to ensure that the Miniature Australian Shepherd will continue to thrive for generations to come.What makes your program special?
At Helm Farms Aussies we produce excellent companions. We understand the importance of dog health, temperament, and structure, and every breeding decision is made accordingly. Our ultimate goal is to produce athletic and well-structured canines that can excel in working the farm and have the ability to be the greatest family companions. We are passionate about Miniature Australian Shepherds, and our love for these dogs shines through in every aspect of our breeding program.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Getting a puppy from Sarah
Sarah has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Sarah partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“Once an application is received and approved we open the conversation up to plan for your new puppy! I send updates, video’s and offer FaceTime calls. I send informational videos on how the puppy pen and play areas are set up and the environment the pups are raised in. I’m open to any questions.”
Price
“Also included are ASDR/ASCA registration, a health guarantee, and genetic testing. Deposits are applied to the purchase price. Refunds will be given depending on the circumstance.”

About Axel
Axel’s personality is the Best! He’s an active lil guy, but loves to ride in the gator, watching and looking at the cattle. He’s so intelligent, he had his basic commands learned at an early age. He started wanting to work cattle, around a year old. He does an amazing job, when we send him out. Axel will listen to anyone that calls the commands. His recall is amazing! When he’s working he’s all business, during his spare time he enjoys swimming in the closest stock tank or pool. He’s even enjoyed a dip in the hot tub! Loves to play fetch, and steal the bean bags from the grandkids when they are playing corn hole games.

About Sterling
Sterling has been a wonderful addition to our program! She is a daughter of Teagan, and Axel. A combination of the best of both of them. She’s very intelligent and loyal. Sterling learned all her commands at an early age. She’s quite the hand around the barn, starting to herd and work in small traps and the round pen.

About Pieper
Pieper is an active, fun loving girl! She loves to ride in he gator with me to check cattle, she also loves to help move and sort cattle. She is so intelligent and easy to train. Here’s a story to show her versatile personality. Our daughter was living in an apartment in KC, she fell in love with Pieper and wanted to take her, as a companion. Pieper did so good living in the city! (But I think she misses, the drive thru’s). Another fun fact….Pieper Ann has been to church, and baptized by our pastor! Yep set right there in the pew with us never making a sound!

About Lil Reba
Lil Reba is a grand daughter of our original Reba that began our program! Her markings are almost exact and after loosing our beloved girl we instantly knew Lil Reba was staying with us! She’s small in size, but huge heart. Never met a stranger and loves to just ride in the feed pickup with Mike. She’s a quick learner and always watching. She’s 13.5” tall and around 20lbs.

Teagan is getting older and reaching her retirement. She has been such a good girl! We love her dearly, and have kept 3 of her daughters. She is so loyal, kind, and loves people. She has traveled with us many miles! So easy to take in hotels, and places. She is her happiest, following me to the barn or garden, and she loves riding on the mower, skid steer, and tractors with us! She has discovered the heated seats in the feed pickup and Mikes endless supply of Spanish peanuts to snack on while checking pastures

Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
