I'm Melissa E., the breeder behind Hembree Creek Springers located in Anderson, SC. Welcome to Hembree Creek Springers, where we raise happy, healthy English Springer Spaniel puppies with care, experience, and lots of love. Located in Anderson SC, we’re a small, home-based breeder dedicated to preserving the joyful spirit, intelligence, and loyal nature that make Springers such a special breed. Our dogs are beloved family members first, and all of our puppies are raised right in our home with daily love, enrichment, and early socialization.

Why did you start breeding?
We've had Springers in our family since 2007. Our first was Emily. She was very intelligent and wonderful girl. We expanded our family with 2 more Springers, Rooster and Bella. Loving this breed we decided to start raising puppies with Bella and Rooster in 2016. The look on the faces of new puppy parents, young or old, is the most wonderful reward for all of the hard work we put into our program.What makes your program special?
Most Springer breeders have stayed with the tradition of docking their puppies tails. WE DO NOT DOCK TAILS. We have researched this and spoken with our veterinarian regarding this practice and found that it is more for cosmetic reasons than medical necessity.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red and white, white and black, white and liver, liver white and tan, liver and white, black white and tan, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Litter update on 09 Aug. •…Behold: a snuggly pile of six-week-old Springer Spaniel sisters, snoozing like tiny angels after a big day of being absolutely adorable. All girls, all sweet as can be — and while the two liver colored have already found their future families, three are still taking applications for forever homes. They'll be ready to pack their chew toys and head out starting August 21st! 🐶💤💗

Litter update on 09 Aug. •…Stevie's five little ladies piled into the truck for their big adventure — a visit to see our favorite vet, Dr. Stringer Stringer Animal Hospital North ! 💉🐾 It was time for their first round of vaccines and a full puppy check-up. They charmed everyone in the office(naturally), got lots of snuggles, and were total champs through it all. We’re happy to report that everyone checked out healthy and strong! 💪🐶 One step closer to being ready for their forever homes! ❤️

Bred from our own Rooster and Josie, Rhett carries on their exceptional lineage—combining Rooster’s playful charm with Josie’s gentle affection. He’s affectionate, goofy, and full of personality, but above all, he’s a gentleman—just like his namesake. Whether he’s charming visitors or being a doting dad, Rhett brings warmth, grace, and joy to everything he does.

While she doesn’t love thunderstorms, she handles life with quiet strength and grace—traits she’s sure to share with her puppies."
