I'm Beth S., the breeder behind Henotic Homestead's Shetland Sheepdogs located in Mc Minnville, TN. My dogs all live inside of my home and are treated as loving pets. They are as much a part of my family as their puppies will be of yours. Their puppies are raised in my home around my children, other dogs, and cats. I breed for health and temperament, with a focus on Emotional Support.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have always been the person that people have called when their dog or cat went into labor since I was young. I ran my own rescue in 2006 bottle feeding orphaned kittens. I started out hobby breeding my Great Pyrenees in 2014 and later my Cairn Terrier. It wasn't until I discovered Shetland Sheepdogs that I decided I wanted to breed full time. I haven't looked back since. This is my breed!

  • What makes your program special?

    ESA & SD prospects are rare in shelties, but not for my puppies. Most become amazing companions, many offer emotional support & several become service dogs. The health and happiness of my puppies is extremely important. I offer lifetime support for your new puppy. I am there for you for any questions you may have, any time. I will take back the dog as a surrender, no matter the age or reason.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable and white, sable merle and white, blue merle and white, blue merle white and tan, black white and tan, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $534.76 non-refundable deposit and between $1,265.24 - $2,965.24 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

    Thank you for the pictures! They are gorgeous! Valor has been renamed to Coby. She has integrated beautifully with the other dogs and loves watching sports! When the boys cheer for the World Cup she runs in circles barking like she is cheering too. She is eating well and loves to play. She likes to turn on the roomba and ride on it, barking like she has conquered the world. She enjoys playing in the yard and likes playing chase with the dachshunds.     My family lost our sheltie in June 2025 unexpectedly. I didn’t think we would ever have another dog. In September we started talking about getting my dad one for his birthday/Christmas. I found Beth through the gooddog website with a litter planned for October and gotcha days close to Christmas which is what we were hoping for. This was the first time I had ever gone through a breeder. Beth took the time to explain how the process worked with her and answered any questions I had. Once the puppies arrived we were updated with every major milestone and got pictures along the way. Scheduling our gotcha day was very easy and Beth took the time to go over all the paperwork and what to expect bringing our puppy home. Bringing the puppy home was an amazing surprise for my dad and has brought so much joy.

    Beth was absolutely amazing to work with and made the whole process of getting a new puppy a truly easy and pleasurable experience. She kept me informed all along and answered all the numerous questions I had such that by the time I picked up little Teddy I felt ready and confident that I was adequately prepared. And little Teddy is such a joy! I feel so lucky to have such a handsome, smart and utterly delightful little boy!     Beth is absolutely fabulous!!! She responds to messages and questions quickly and she is a great all around person!! I adopted a pair of bonded girls and they are wonderful!! They are highly trained with great personalities. I can tell she put a lot of time, love and effort into Celeste and Comet. They are so well socialized that they immediately bonded with my Sheltie and Aussiepoo. I will look to Beth for a puppy or another adult as long as she is breeding! We are still in constant communication as I share pictures and videos of my pack. She is a very special person.
