I'm Britney H., the breeder behind Heyd's Mini Dachshunds located in Hoquiam, WA. It is my goal to produce healthly, well structure, and good temperamented doxie pups. A quality dachshund that will be your best friend for years to come! I offer a life-time of breeder support and dachshund community to join.

Why did you start breeding?
I use to rescue and foster many dogs. One of the dogs we took in was a dachshund. My husband and I fell in love with the breed ever since. We later in life moved to Hoquiam WA and decided to invest in breeding. We've been breeding since 2018. I'm very passionate about my doxies and I'm always learning more and more. When you know better, you do better!What makes your program special?
I'd like to think my program is special because of all the time, testing, and energy invest into my dachshund. And I'm fair with my pricing and my goal of producing healthy better quality doxies. Our puppies include cream, red, black, chocolate, fawn (isabella), brindle, fawn (isabella) and tan, fawn (isabella) and cream, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, blue and tan, blue and cream, black and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Litter update on 12 Nov. •…Babies first bath & nail trim ♡ they all did great♡ Desensitizing puppies to baths and nail trims is vital for preventing future anxiety and fear, ensuring they can be groomed and handled throughout their lives without stress. Early, positive exposure helps your puppy view these essential tasks as normal, even enjoyable, experiences, rather than frightening ordeals. The importance of early desensitization Reduces fear and aggression Without early desensitization, puppies are more likely to develop a fear of grooming procedures as they get older. This can lead to resistance, stress, and even aggression during necessary grooming and veterinary visits. A dog that is comfortable with being handled is much easier and safer to manage. ♡♡♡

Litter update on 11 Nov. •…Babies were introduced to kennel training this week. There so adorable checking out the crate. "What's this new thing in my area?" Crate training is important because it provides a safe and comfortable space for your dog, aids significantly in house training by using their natural instinct to avoid soiling their den, and helps prevent destructive behaviors when unsupervised. It also makes travel easier and less stressful, and can reduce separation anxiety by creating a sense of security.

About Roca
Almond Roca, goes by Roca or Roca Poca. She is sweet as can be and melts right into ur arms like chocolate. She is a tiny 9-10lb girl. Spayed, up to date, and microchipped. She does well with other dogs, cats unknown. She is kennel trained at night and potty trained. Its important to note that in a new home a dog will take time to adjust and learn new potty routine. Roca is a big snuggler and favorite thing is to dig. She will tunnel holes threw the yard if you let her. She is easy yo bath and does great with nail trims using the nail grinder. Not much of a barker unless the door bell rings♡ Shy at first, but a true lover once shes comfortable.

I am so happy with little Honey Bee. Her breeders were so easy to work with. Because of them working with the pups with crate training and potty spots, Honey is a breeze to potty train. It took one day for her to not go in her pen, as she has an outside pen that she goes potty. She is very vocal about her needs, if I don't give her enough time outside to poo, she gets this funny bark howl that means she needs to go back out and finish up. She sleeps in her crate and will whine to go out at night, then settles right back down to sleep.

I can’t say enough positive things about Britney and her husband Ronnie. Britney was so responsive and answered all my questions. Her husband Ronnie drove 2 hours to meet me at the airport so I could fly our sweet puppy home. They gave me everything I needed for a successful trip home with a puppy. It was evident that both Britney and Ronnie truly care about their dogs. Our puppy settled right in and has the best temperament of any dog we have ever had. I would highly recommend Heyd’s to anyone considering a Dachshund puppy.
