What I remember most about working with Britney from Heyd’s Mini Dachshund’s is how simple she made the process. And, now 6 months later, I realize how lucky I am to have my puppy from her dog family. The application process was easy and straightforward. I kept waiting for there to be more red tape or busy work but Britney was quick to answer. Her updates were also just want I needed to see. The puppy that I would soon love and take into my home was featured in cute updates with his family and litter. Truth be told, I was only casually looking at different dog breeds on Good Dogs and other sites when I came across “Shadow” from Heyd’s. There was something about him that made me reach out to Britney, apply, complete the adoption process, and meet with her in person for the transfer. A couple of other things you should know. Britney truly cares about her dogs. She definitely puts a lot of heart into her updates and does her best to share not only information about each of the puppies but also their development. I remember telling her should write a manual about puppy development because she really focuses on the essentials and what you need to know. I met Britney and my puppy one day after arriving back in the country, so I was very flustered and unready for my new pup. I was even a little late to the meeting, but she kindly waited for me. And, I caught her saying her last goodbyes to the little pup that was still hers but soon to be mine when I arrived. Britney knows here stuff. When I picked up the puppy, Britney had a nice portion of food, a kennel that I still use, and other useful accessories and information that were vitally needed in those first weeks. Britney is trustworthy and judicious. For some reason, at the veterinarian check-up, they ran out of microchips. She offered me a small refund for this mishap. Thankfully, my little guy is microchipped and good to go now! Finally, now that “Shadow/Poe” is about 4 months old, he really resembles his parent dogs! I am so glad he came from the Heyd family. So much has changed for me over the past 6 months. I wanted to take some time to give Britney some credit for all of her business sense, family love, and care and attention she puts into these beautiful dogs. I hope all the other pups from the same litter and other litters are doing well! Thanks for all you do, Britney. It makes a difference. Thank you from my heart, Britney!

I am so happy with little Honey Bee. Her breeders were so easy to work with. Because of them working with the pups with crate training and potty spots, Honey is a breeze to potty train. It took one day for her to not go in her pen, as she has an outside pen that she goes potty. She is very vocal about her needs, if I don't give her enough time outside to poo, she gets this funny bark howl that means she needs to go back out and finish up. She sleeps in her crate and will whine to go out at night, then settles right back down to sleep.

I am so happy with the puppy I got from Heyd's Mini Dachshunds! Britney was a pleasure to work with, being both responsive and accommodating. It is clear she is knowledgeable about dachshunds. Her pups are well socialized and you can tell she is passionate and caring for her dogs and their litters. Gus is such a doll, he's both sweet and smart. He is the cutest little companion I could have hoped for ❤️

Britney was great to work with and always quick to respond to my questions. I traveled out of state to pick up my puppy, and she made the whole process really easy. She helped prepare me ahead of time with what I’d need for the first few days, including food and supplies. Even after bringing Winnie home, she’s been easy to reach and happy to help with any questions. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough positive things about Britney and her husband Ronnie. Britney was so responsive and answered all my questions. Her husband Ronnie drove 2 hours to meet me at the airport so I could fly our sweet puppy home. They gave me everything I needed for a successful trip home with a puppy. It was evident that both Britney and Ronnie truly care about their dogs. Our puppy settled right in and has the best temperament of any dog we have ever had. I would highly recommend Heyd’s to anyone considering a Dachshund puppy.
