Q. & A. with Susan
Why did you start breeding?
My first litter was of Labrador Retrievers in the 1980s. Problem was I had 3 small children at the time. It was a bit much. After those dogs crossed the rainbow bridge, my husband wanted to explore other breeds. We had a lovely Rottweiler for 8 short years. I learned to delve into breed longevity and health issues. We decided on an Australian Shepherd and I feel in love with the breed!
What makes your program special?
I am an extreme animal lover. I was in prevet - premed in college and became a Zoologist. Went on to Grad School in Oceanography. In all my endeavors from farm to aquarium, I start with the big picture and drive deeply into the details.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
