I'm Michael S., the breeder behind Hidden Creek located in Salem, IN. With years of experience owning Border Collies, we chose to breed our exceptional girl, Eve. Her beautiful markings, affectionate nature, high intelligence, and proven working and sport lineage make her a wonderful example of the breed—one we’re proud to share.

Why did you start breeding?
Eve’s intelligence, affectionate nature, and unique markings made it clear she would produce beautiful puppies. After waiting until she was nearly three years old and taking time to research and thoughtfully discern whether breeding was the right decision for our family, the answer became clear. The decision didn’t take long—and here we are, excited and grateful to be on this journey.
What makes your program special?
Our puppies live at home with me, my wife and our 7 year old. They are well socialized with us and lots of nieces and nephews. Our goal is to have top quality puppies, physically, mentally and socially.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Michael

Michael has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Includes ABCA registration, vaccines, and pre pick up health checks done at our vet's office. If you are interested, just ask! Deposits are not refundable but can be transferred to a future litter. All of our puppies are the same price regardless of color or size. Price includes registration and health guarantee."

Michael may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Treat time for mom and pups! They are doing so well! First round of puppy shots done and Vet Checked them all as very healthy! Potty training, car rides, socialization with children, crate training… all underway. They will be ready for their forever homes next week!

About Eve
Eve is the most affectionate border collie I've owned. She loves people, keeps an eye on our chickens - actually a little bossy with them. She's highly intelligent and her energy goes up and down with the room. She can chill, when we are chilling and get very active when the kids are running around or there's a lot going on.

Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
