I'm Janet S., the breeder behind High Country Kennels located in Litchfield, MI. We believe that every home should have at least one good dog. We enjoy raising happy, well-adjusted puppies to fill that need. We raise companions. We may even have your next family member!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I started breeding because of my love for hunting dogs as a youth. It grew out of a passion.
  • What makes your program special?

    We work from home allowing us to be on site with the dogs, from their whelping through all their stages of socialization. Our dogs get lots of fresh country air and have access to large exercise yards.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable, piebald, red, chocolate and tan, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
