I'm Veronica G., the breeder behind High Desert Shih Tzu located in Oak Hills, CA. All of our dogs are loved as family members. We cherish our puppies from birth up until they leave our arms to snuggle into yours! We raise our dogs in our home right alongside our family. We love being able to match our puppies with families that are the perfect fit for their personalities.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Six years ago, my world changed when I found out my daughter needed a transplant. During that difficult time, I wanted to bring a little joy into our home—something comforting, something special. She had always dreamed of having an indoor puppy, so I began researching different breeds. After much searching, I discovered the Shih Tzu, and I instantly fell in love. Their sweet nature and affectionate personalities were exactly what we needed. I never imagined I would one day become a breeder—until a kind woman saw my dog and loved her just as much as we did. She offered her stud, and together we welcomed our first litter of beautiful puppies. It took me a full year to decide whether I wanted to continue breeding. I took a chance… and I absolutely love it. What started as a way to bring comfort to my daughter has grown into a true passion. Every puppy is raised with the same love and care that started this journey in the first place

    I breed them with love, they are always cared for.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include liver, blue, red, white, and liver and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Veronica partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $600 non-refundable deposit and between $2,600 - $3,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.
