I'm Carol H., the breeder behind High Mesa Doodles located in Montrose, CO. Our goal at High Mesa Doodles is to breed a happy healthy dog. All of our parent dogs are fully tested before being bred.

Why did you start breeding?
My friend and I were discussing breeding and the wonderful personalities of Goldendoodles. I thought with the great family-friendly Golden Retriever bred to an intelligent hypoallergenic Poodle would be such a wonderful pet. With much research on how to breed, what to expect, and preparing our home for breeding it has been such a wonderful miracle to see the birth of these beautiful babies.What makes your program special?
We strive to breed a well-socialized puppy. We spend time with our puppies and dogs on a daily basis. Our dogs are part of our family. We also do beginning crate training for the puppies, teach them how to use a doggy door, and we just started doing ENS to help create a wonderful family pet.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Goldendoodle puppies include miniature and medium sizes. Bernedoodle puppies include mini and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, red, chocolate, and black. Bernedoodle puppies include black and white, tri-color, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

"All Goldendoodles are the same price at $2,500.00. Bernedoodles pricing varies depending on color. Deposits are applied to the purchase price of your puppy. Deposit will be applied to the price of your puppy."

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
PawPrint Genetic Panel (Breed Specific)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
