I'm Brittany E., the breeder behind High Standard Poodles located in Aurora, MO. Our dogs are health tested through Paw Print Genetics. Puppies are raised in our home using puppy culture methods. They are cuddled daily by both adults and young children. New sights/sounds offered daily to produce well adjusted, confident puppies. Puppies receive appropriate vaccinations/wormings.

Why did you start breeding?
I’ve wanted to raise puppies since I was a teenager. After getting my first standard poodle I joined a dog club (and currently work in a dog training facility). There I made connections with a variety of trainers and breeders. Those connections gave me valuable insight to the world of dog breeding. Eventually I decided to take the leap and breed my first litter.What makes your program special?
Our goal is to raise well adjusted/confident puppies that make great family pets. We put effort in daily to give our puppies new experiences, preparing them for their new homes. Exposing our puppies to various sights/sounds/textures/people provides a good foundation for them to be successful in a variety of settings. We also provide age appropriate training sessions using positive reinforcement.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Puppy prices include between $800 - $1,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures (NEwS), Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), Generalized, PRA, Rod-Cone Dysplasia 4 (rcd4), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Our experience with the breeder was great! They were super friendly at pick-up. They didn’t make me feel rushed when I was trying to get the puppy to warm up to me before we left. Kieran is the sweetest boy! He loves to snuggle with us and his poodle brothers and sister. Our only issue is that he isn’t as used to grooming as our other pups were when they first came home, but that’s definitely something we can easily work through.
