I'm Sara B., the breeder behind Highland Haven Australian Shepherds located in Putnam County, NY. Welcome to our Australian Shepherd breeding program, where our dogs are cherished members of our family. Nestled in the heart of our home, our Australian Shepherds live alongside us, sharing in our daily joys and adventures. Here, they're not just breeding stock; they're beloved pets who receive all the love, care, and attention they deserve. In our commitment to breeding healthy and happy Australian Shepherds, we prioritize genetic testing for known diseases in each of our breeding dogs. By ensuring that our dog's parents are in optimal health, we aim to promote the well-being of future generations of Australian Shepherds. But health isn't the only aspect we consider. We believe in breeding for more than just physical attributes. Temperament plays a crucial role in our selection process. We carefully choose breeding dogs with smooth temperaments and exceptional off switches—traits that are quintessential to the Australian Shepherd breed. Our goal is to produce puppies that not only exhibit the breed's intelligence and agility but also possess the gentle and loving demeanor that makes them exceptional companions. We are also dedicated to finding the perfect homes for our puppies. We understand the unique demands of the Australian Shepherd breed and prioritize placing our dogs in loving families who comprehend and embrace these needs. Whether it's providing ample mental and physical stimulation or understanding their herding instincts, we ensure that our puppies are placed in environments where they can thrive and flourish. If you're passionate about the Australian Shepherd breed and are interested in welcoming one of our puppies into your home, we invite you to reach out to us. Stay tuned for updates on upcoming litters and take the first step towards adding a loyal and loving companion to your family.
