Final Litter Update – Ready for Their Next Chapter 🐾 It’s hard to believe we’re here already—this sweet group has reached the final stretch before heading home. Over the past several weeks, these puppies have grown into confident, curious, and well-rounded little Collies. Each one has developed their own personality, and it’s been such a joy watching them figure out the world around them. They’ve been busy behind the scenes with: * Daily handling and continued socialization * Exposure to household sounds, new environments, and new experiences * Beginning crate routines and structured mealtimes * Outdoor exploration and confidence-building time * Lots of human interaction (their favorite part) Temperament-wise, I’m really happy with this group. We’re seeing a nice mix of thoughtful, people-focused puppies along with a few that bring a little extra spark and playfulness—exactly what I aim for in my program. Physically, they’re looking great. Nice coats coming in, good structure, and overall thriving. They’ve been eating well, growing consistently, and transitioning smoothly into their routines. As we get closer to go-home: * Final vet checks and first vaccinations are scheduled * Microchipping has been completed * Go-home folders and puppy packs are being finalized * Individual updates will continue for each family These last days are always a mix of pride and a little bit of “how did it go so fast?” Each of these puppies has been raised with intention, and I’m confident they’re heading into homes where they’ll be loved and continue to thrive. To my puppy families—your patience, excitement, and trust mean more than you know. I can’t wait to see these puppies step into their next chapter with you. — Caryn, Highland Moor Kennel 🐾

🐾 5.5 Week Puppy Update 🐾 The puppies are officially 5½ weeks old, and this is where things really start to get fun—and busy! They are now fully engaged with their environment, exploring more confidently and interacting with each other in more intentional ways. Playtime has turned into full-on puppy wrestling matches, complete with little growls, pounces, and tail wags. We’ve made the transition away from mom, and the puppies are now eating multiple solid meals per day. They are doing great with their food, showing strong appetites and good structure during mealtimes. This stage is important for building independence, and they are handling it beautifully. Their personalities are really starting to shine through. Some are more outgoing and curious, while others are a bit more thoughtful and observant—but all are developing exactly as we’d expect at this age. We are continuing with early socialization, including exposure to everyday household sounds and new textures, helping to build confident, well-adjusted puppies. They are also becoming more aware of people and are starting to seek out interaction, which is always a favorite milestone. Cleanliness is improving as well, with puppies naturally moving away from their sleeping area to potty—an early step toward future training. Overall, this group is developing nicely, and we’re very pleased with their progress at this stage. More updates soon as they continue to grow!

Puppy Update – 4½ Weeks Old 🐾 Life in the puppy nursery is getting busy! You may have noticed I haven’t been posting quite as frequently lately, and that’s because the puppies are starting to rely less on mom and more on me these days. 😅 We are now eating two large mush meals a day, with a few nursing sessions from Annie throughout the day as well. In between meals and nursing, my job is mostly cleaning up puppy messes and keeping everyone comfortable. The puppies were also wormed for the second time, which is part of their normal health routine at this stage. As you can see from their weight chart, everyone is growing beautifully. They’re getting big and chunky! Just like human babies, a little puppy baby fat is perfectly normal and exactly what we want to see at this age. They’re becoming more active every day and starting to show their little personalities. It’s such a fun stage to watch them grow. More updates soon as the adventure continues!

Puppy Milestone: First Taste of Real Food The puppies reached an exciting milestone this week — their first introduction to real food. Up until now, they have relied entirely on Annie’s milk for their nutrition. Around this stage in development, their teeth are beginning to come in and their curiosity about the world (and food!) starts to grow. Introducing puppy mush is the first step in the gradual weaning process. The first meals are always more about exploration than eating. There is a lot of sniffing, stepping in the bowl, and licking before they really understand what this new food is. It’s a messy but very important learning experience. Over the next couple of weeks the puppies will slowly transition from relying fully on mom to eating more solid food while still nursing from Annie. This helps their digestive systems adjust gently while supporting healthy growth. Annie is still doing a wonderful job caring for them, but as the puppies grow she naturally begins spending a little more time away from the pen while they learn to become more independent. Every week brings new developmental milestones, and this one is always fun to watch as the puppies begin discovering food for the very first time.

Puppy Pen Update 🐾 The puppies have officially graduated to the big puppy pen, and they are already making great use of the extra space. They now have: • A cozy sleeping area with mom • An enrichment area with their little jungle gym • And a designated bathroom area And the exciting part… they’re already starting to use the bathroom area on their own. At just over 3 weeks old, that instinct to move away from where they sleep is exactly what we want to see. They’re becoming more mobile every day — wobbling around, exploring, and occasionally face-planting after a big milk session. 😄 Annie has settled into a nice routine as well. She spends time with her puppies, then takes breaks to hang out with her human family and the other dogs, before heading back in to check on her babies. And of course, the puppies’ listening music has now been upgraded to Radio Delilah… because every nursery needs a little soft rock love songs in the evening. 🎶 These chunky little explorers are growing up fast. 🐾💜

Litter Update — Annie x Mattie 🐾 We are happy to share that Annie welcomed her puppies on February 10th. Mom and babies are all doing well and settling in nicely. Annie delivered naturally and has been a calm, attentive mother from the start. The puppies are nursing well, gaining strength, and spending most of their time sleeping and eating as expected during these early days. Annie is eating well and recovering comfortably while focusing on her new babies. Over the next couple of weeks, updates will continue as the puppies grow and develop. At this stage, our focus remains on rest, nursing, and allowing mom and puppies quiet time to settle in. Thank you to everyone for your patience and excitement — we look forward to sharing more as the puppies grow. — Highland Moor Kennel

4-Week Litter Update! 🐾 Our little Rough Collie pups are growing up so fast! At 4 weeks old, they’ve hit some big milestones, and this week was especially exciting. For the very first time, the pups got to go outside! 🌞 They were so curious, exploring the new sights and smells. It’s the first taste of the big world beyond their playpen, and they were absolutely fascinated! We’ve also begun transitioning them from mush food to gently softened kibble. They’re adjusting well to the new textures, although there’s still some messiness involved! 😅 Potty training is going great, too, as they’re getting the hang of using their separate potty trays. Some pups are more adventurous, while others prefer to observe their surroundings, but all of them are full of playful energy and love their snuggles. 🐕💫 Check out the latest photos to see how much they’ve grown and how their personalities are developing. These little ones are on their way to becoming amazing companions!

Three Weeks Old – Big Changes for the Pups! Our March 10th litter is officially three weeks old, and it’s amazing how much they’ve grown in such a short time! This week, they’ve moved from their cozy newborn whelping box into a bigger playpen, giving them more space to wiggle, explore, and build those little muscles. We’ve also introduced a separate potty tray to start them on good habits early! Another exciting milestone—mush food! While they’re still nursing, they’re also getting their first taste of real food, and let’s just say…it’s a messy (but adorable) experience! Their personalities are starting to shine, and we’re loving every moment of watching them grow. Check out their latest photos and follow along as they continue to hit new milestones! #HighlandMoorCollies #ColliePuppies #3WeeksOld

We had a great experience with Caryn and Highland Moor Kennel through Good Dog. She’s quick to respond to questions, she knows a lot about Collies, and put together a wonderful take home care package with dog food, vitamins, and lots of other stuff. I appreciate the time and love she puts into taking care of the dogs and making the process of adopting easy.

An exceptional experience with Caryn. She walked us through the entire process from day one. She answered our questions immediately and no question was to minor. She explained each step and continued to work with us after we picked up our puppy. We have worked with other breeders but no one matched her compassion or her commitment to make sure we were prepared for our puppy. I strongly recommend her and her excellent knowledge. We were very lucky to find her.

Caryn is so kind and working with her through Good Dog was such an easy process. She was super quick to answer all of our many questions and continued to give us helpful advice after we took our pup Freddie home. He has settled in really well and right off the bat it was clear that Caryn had worked hard to get him set up for crate and house training as well as good social habits. We are so glad that we decided to go with Highland Moor Kennel for this big decision!

Caryn is the BEST! Our puppy River "CRUZ" is an absolute doll. He has been with us for a week, he is 12 weeks old, crate trained and 90% house broken. Caryn was AMAZING with updates and pictures. Her attention to these puppies, education on food and training and open communication was appreciated beyond words. I consider her extended family!!
