I'm Dee H., the breeder behind Hill Valley Border Collies located in Blue Ridge, GA. Hill Valley Border Collies is a very small program between Florida and the in North Georgia Mountains. We have been professionally training dogs of all breeds for 20 years. We are experienced trainers who specialize in temperment, family pet and so much more! Our personal border collies compete in obedience sports, herding and frisbee. Growing up with this active, intelligent and affectionate breed we are striving to produce biddable, lower drive border collies that excel as family pets first and sport dogs second. Many people think that they cannot own a border collie but have always dreamed of having one. We hope to be able to coach the right families into border collie ownership the right way! As professional handlers and trainers, we take our dog placements seriously and intend to have a lifelong relationship with our puppy families.

Why did you start breeding?
My breeder retired and after a lot of thoughtful consideration and conversations with her, I'm proud to continue her line of well bred, family border collies.What makes your program special?

Getting a puppy from Dee
Dee has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Dee partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
“Puppies are matched once puppies are old enough to properly assess temperament and drive. We use volhard puppy testing an our expereince in behavior assessments to make careful placements of our pups. ”

“Price includes AKC registration, first round of vaccines + deworming, microchipping, access to me (pro trainer) for puppy raising advice. Puppy training bootcamp avaiable at additional price. Deposit is refundable if no puppy is availble in current or next litter.”

About Future
Future is a gentle natured, affectionate, people pleasing kind of collie. Social with all polite dogs. Confident on livestock, excels at canine disc sport (toss & fetch & updog) and fun tricks at home. He's happiest when he's with our 8yr old son, by his side. Quiet natured, friendly with anyone who comes through our fence. Playful, but not over the top demanding nor pushy. Future was the lowest drive puppy in his litter.

About Epic
Epic is such a sweet natured, playful and gentle dog! She's fantastic with all dogs, people, and children. She's an easy keeper inside the house, prefering to be cuddled up next to you on the couch or in bed. If you stop petting her, she'll most certianly demand more petting. She loves to self-entertain with toys, and isn't pushy insiting that you always play with her. She's been an excellent mother, which we predicted due to her mothing nature with any/all puppies we raise and train at our home. Epic is from working & show lines, having a grand champion in her bloodline.
