I'm Lacy C., the breeder behind Hillbilly Acres located in Virginia. It is our goal to produce adorable, affectionate Shihpoo puppies that are healthy, well-tempered, and make wonderful companions. Each of our dogs has brought so much happiness to us throughout their lives. We want to do our part to produce wonderful, healthy dogs that can bring other people joy as well, and we strive to provide each of our puppies with loving homes where they can live happy lives.

Getting a puppy from Lacy
Lacy has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $100 non-refundable deposit and $600 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price includes first set of vaccines / up to date on wormer / CKC registration paperwork, puppy socialization. Goody bag of food / toy/ puppy pad / blanket with moms scent. All of our puppies are the same price.”

Lacy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. She not only welcomed my family into the pup life but also her own. From the interview with the application, and videos everyday to follow the growth of my Khoko and always available to do FaceTime when requested. Hillbilly Acres started calling her by her name so when we picked her up she knew it. She was well taken cared of. Great temperament, already trained for most part with bathroom. I had been searching for a Shih Poo mix puppy for a while when I found the Good Dog site. Lacy Carter of Hillbilly Acres had 4 two-week-old puppies listed and she was selling them for a very reasonable price. I contacted her and over FaceTime we got to meet each other and she showed me the puppies with their miniature poodle mother, Biscuit. She also showed me the Shih Tsu father, Dallas. They were both happy and healthy looking parents. There were two boys and two girls and I reserved the brindle female, who I have named Edie. I put down a deposit through the Good Dog site. For the next six weeks Lacy was fantastic. She sent me pictures and videos of Edie and her siblings every morning and evening. She kept me up to date on their vet visit and transition over to puppy food. She gave me details on vaccines and the brand of puppy food she was using. I got to watch Edie grow from a little infant to a bouncy, playful puppy. It was wonderful. I paid the balance to Lacy through Good Dog and picked Edie up yesterday and was instantly in love with her. She is so sweet, beautiful, and clearly well-cared for. Lacy gave me a goody bag of vaccine records, dry and wet food, a bottle of water, a chew toy, and a soft blanket with Biscuit’s smell on it for Edie to sleep with. The entire experience with Lacy Carter and Hillbilly Acres has been so reassuring, positive, and loving I cannot recommend their beautiful puppies enough! If you choose a puppy from them you will not be disappointed. Thanks for my beautiful dog, Lacy!

Lacy has been wonderful from the day I started communicating with her with interest in Shihpoo puppies. She has communicated with me constantly from before conception, to the day of the birth, and then we received almost daily communication and pictures about all the puppies until it was time to choose our forever family member. We wanted to meet the puppies in person and Lacy and her family graciously opened their home for us to come and choose. We chose a male with adorable white paws and named him Winston. Lacy and family started calling him by name which we loved. We picked Winston up at 8 weeks. Lacy and her family welcomed us again and she had all paperwork ready for us with shot and worming records, along with weight records. She also gave us the nicest gift bag with goodies to get us started. We have been so happy with our little guy, He is just pure joy!! We highly recommend Hillybilly Acres!!❤️

+8Lacy at Hillbilly Acres is excellent! had a wonderful experience! When I contacted her, she was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, and I could tell she truly cared about her dogs. Every day, I looked forward to receiving her daily video of my puppy and his siblings playing along with an update on their progress. It was clear that the dogs were well loved and socialized. This was the best experience a puppy seeker could ask for. Ms. Lacy was extremely communicative and helpful throughout the whole waiting period. She was very interactive with the puppies and even started calling them by name to get them accustomed to it before pick up. She sent daily photos and videos and was also willing to FaceTime when it was appropriate for everyone involved. I’ve grown to adore this breeder in the little time we’ve been introduced. I will always highly recommend this breeder to anyone in such of beautiful shihpoo puppies !

+7We viewed all Shih-Poos in our state and a wider area until we found Hillbilly acres. We couldn’t be happier than when Lacy contacted us facetime so we could view her pups. They were all just beautiful and we selected the smallest boy, Pete. They were about four weeks old and until we brought Pete home we had daily updates facetime or photos/videos with Lacy, and weekly updates with Pete’s weight. I was most impressed with the wonderful care and cleanness she provided to her pups throughout the process`. Without a doubt Lacy should be considered by anyone if they are looking for a small breed Shih-Poo.
