I'm Laura G., the breeder behind Hillbrae Shetland Sheepdogs located in Montauk, NY. My main goal is to produce healthy Shelties that fit breed standard, with exceptional temperaments. I compete in dog sports. I strive to produce well adjusted puppies that can excel in any venue and make wonderful companions.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I purchased a pet male Sheltie that I neutered, and soon became interested in breeding. I then purchased a female who became my foundation.

  • What makes your program special?

    I put my heart and soul into my dogs, they are adored pets as well as show dogs. I educate myself on the most current information on producing well adjusted puppies suitable for anything their owners may want to achieve with them.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Laura

Price

Puppy prices include a $250 refundable deposit and between $1,750 - $2,750 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Laura may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
