I'm Dayna L., the breeder behind Hillcrest Farm located in Oshawa, MN. Our dogs are outstanding hunting companions, and we are proud to continue their line. We breed both to provide families with loving and capable companions and to improve upon our dogs' fantastic traits with each generation. Let's see if we have the perfect pup for you and your family!
Q. & A. with Dayna
Why did you start breeding?
My husband and I decided to start our breeding program four years ago. We had a wonderful hunting dog with great bloodlines and knew we wanted to preserve that lineage. Our matriarch Avery continues to hunt and enjoy our home. Her offspring have gone on to become titled in AKC and UKC hunt tests, become great family dogs and are out in the fields and marsh making us proud.
What makes your program special?
Our program starts with dogs with great dispositions. We complete genetic testing and health clearances then train hard for hunting and hunt tests. Once a dog has become titled, we search for the best match possible. Our puppies are socialized and started on crate and potty training for their families. We stay connected to families with updates of puppies and offer support after they go home.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
