I'm Shantal H., the breeder behind Hillsides Shih-Tzu located in Sanger, CA. Quality baby doll face and small standard sized family pets with a focus on health, conformation, and temperament. Our furbabies range in the 8 to 12 pound range with an occasional smaller size. Our adult furkids are all health tested. All our furbabies are raised in our home and part of our family. We socialize play and potty train all puppies.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have always been around breeding ever since I was a small child. It's just engraved into my personality. I wouldn't know what to do without my family pets! I strive to produce high-quality Shih Tzu puppies for others to love on and enjoy just as I have throughout the years. It is so fulfilling to create companionship and love through my program by matching my puppies with their new forever homes!

  • What makes your program special?

    I strive to better the breed and raise loving, well-socialized, and healthy furbabies. I love spoiling and pampering my dogs, and I hope that my puppies' new homes will love and cherish them just as much! It is my pleasure to help you take the next step in adding this wonderful new addition to your family!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, liver, gold, red, silver, black gold and silver, silver and white, red and white, liver and white, gold and white, brindle and white, black gold and white, black and white, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,300 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Shantal is truly a kind and caring professional. We stumbled upon her website last year. We fell in love with a puppy on the website, and at the time, we were not ready to bring him home. But we constantly would go back to her site to check out the puppy’s availability. After several months, we contacted Shantal. Unfortunately, the puppy was available, but she had a new litter and sent us pictures. It was love at first sight with Boots, after a few phone conversations and many questions. Shantal kindly reserved Boots, and we met 3 weeks later, after his twice vaccination. I never knew I could love a being so much. Boots brings so much joy and playfulness into our home and hearts. I’m grateful to Shantal and the universe for being Boots to our lives.
