I'm Stephanie S., the breeder behind Hobby Horse Mini Doxies located in Spring Creek, NV. We offer genetic tested, family oriented, well rounded puppies. All of our dogs are raised in our home. All are genetic tested with a focus on health and temperament. We strive to breed the best well rounded and healthy family pets.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    A good friend has raised mini dachshunds for years I got my first from her after falling in love with the breed. I took over her program when she had to retire because of health problems that caused her to not be physically able to take care of her dogs anymore and have been breeding ever since.

  • What makes your program special?

    I am one of the few mini dachshund breeders who breeds for temperament and family oriented personalities. I also genetic test all of my dogs to make sure I am producing healthy puppies who will live a long healthy life.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, black, brindle, black and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Stephanie

Stephanie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Stephanie partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $1,550 - $3,250 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes first set of shots, microchip, swag bag, beginning on potty training and akc registration (where applicable). Deposits are non refundable. Deposits can be moved to a different litter/puppy if your preferred color or sex is not born or there is a problem with the litter.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Stephanie answered all my silly first time puppy owner questions. It’s been years since we welcomed a puppy and she was quick and polite.     Stephanie was very kind and extremely easy to work with. With every question I had for her, she would always have an immediate response. She gave us a little goodie bag when I went to pick her up! While she is a little land shark at times, she is very well behaved and has been super easy to train! Potty training her has been a breeze with her already knowing how to use the pad when we got her, now she waits at the door whenever she needs to go outside! Our girl Elise does great when being exposed to new things (new environments, noises, animals, etc.). If you are looking for a new companion, I would definitely recommend buying from her!
