Why did you start breeding?
I have had dogs my entire life. I couldn’t live without them. I have been involved in rescue, foster or breeding for 30 years. My German Shepherd is a rescue. My experiences in the rescue and foster world taught me how important it is to have a healthy and well-bred dog. I’ve seen too many tragic stories because of poor breeding practices. I fell in love with miniature dachshunds and decided to start a small in home breeding program. I searched the nation for the highest quality of dogs. All of my dogs sleep with me and are my pets first. I only have a few litters a year to focus on providing the best of the best in miniature Dachshunds. The joy I receive in placing a puppy is the best reward of all.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Elyse has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price
Puppy prices include a $300 deposit and between $1,200 - $2,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price includes a one year health guarantee against genetic issues. Strict worming and vaccination protocol. Life time support. I’m always available to my puppy families. Deposit is applied towards your puppy purchase.”
Contract & health guarantee
Elyse may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Standard Veterinary Blood Panel
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), Generalized, PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 1 (PRA-crd1), Full Embark Panel, DNA Coat/Trait Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
