Q. & A. with Elyse
Why did you start breeding?
I have had dogs my entire life. I couldn’t live without them. I have been involved in rescue, foster or breeding for 30 years. My German Shepherd is a rescue. My experiences in the rescue and foster world taught me how important it is to have a healthy and well-bred dog. I’ve seen too many tragic stories because of poor breeding practices. I fell in love with miniature dachshunds and decided to start a small in home breeding program. I searched the nation for the highest quality of dogs. All of my dogs sleep with me and are my pets first. I only have a few litters a year to focus on providing the best of the best in miniature Dachshunds. The joy I receive in placing a puppy is the best reward of all.
