I'm Hollie S., the breeder behind HollieSue Dachshunds located in Elk, WA. I am a breeder of show quality puppies. All puppies are AKC registered. My foundation female comes from championship lines. I choose studs for temperament, health, and conformation. I follow Puppy Culture and Breeders Bootcamp programs. My goal is to produce wonderful home companions.
Q. & A. with Hollie
Why did you start breeding?
I started doing my research about 5 years ago thinking that I would like to work with dachshunds in retirement. I learned that if I really want to better the breed then I need to get into showing at conformation shows to learn from the experts. From there I started watching performance sports and working with other breeders and dachshund experts.
What makes your program special?
My program is special because we are a small program. I breed very carefully to dogs who complement each other in temperament, health, conformation, and performance. My goal is one to two litters a year if the right pairing is found. All my dogs (including puppies) are health tested and come with a guarantee.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and wirehaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red, wild boar, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
