I'm Julie P., the breeder behind Homegrown Hoosier Kennels located in Indianapolis, IN. Our focus is to produce the best dogs of the highest quality so that other families can also enjoy the love of a dog. Our dogs are members of our family and are right by our side for daily life. Our experience with them inspired us to share their affectionate personalities with other loving families!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My husband and I both grew up around dogs and our best friends were breeders. We fell in love with every litter of puppies they had and that's what started our program and our love of breeding!

  • What makes your program special?

    We breed for a purpose. We breed to produce happy, healthy, and loving puppies. Our daughters adore every litter we have and they help raise them like we are keeping all of them ❤️

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, black, chocolate, brindle, fawn (isabella) and tan, black and tan, chocolate and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Julie

Julie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,200 - $3,250 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Our prices range differently for our Miniature Dachshunds. Our deposits are nonrefundable unless death occurs in our care. We have been lucky to have not experienced that yet, and hope to never experience it, but, it is fully refundable if it were to happen.”
