Meet the breeder

I'm Kimberly D., the breeder behind Honey Creek Doxies located in Senoia, GA. We love this breed and the experience of having litters! Our mission is to raise pups that are set to become the best companions. We raise our litters in our home to help set the foundation for happy and confident puppies to transition well into their forever homes. It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to make an impact on each individual puppy! GREAT HOMES ARE A MUST!

Q. & A. with Kimberly

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started breeding at 15, with my mother’s help, under the watchful eye of a seasoned breeder. I’ve always been a huge animal lover! I bred Jack Russel terriers at the time and bred for about three years. I started breeding dachshunds in 2016 after my sister in law had been breeding dachshunds and I fell in love with the breed!
  • What makes your program special?

All of our dogs are inside dogs. They sleep in the bed with us, our sons, or in their own doggie beds. We believe in kennel training to ensure they are safe if we’re not home. Any new puppies that we add to our personal “pack” is DNA tested and vet checked multiple times before breeding. We take all veterinary care of our dogs and puppies seriously. We spend tons of time on our litters! Each puppy is given special one-on-one playtime/attention daily as well as playtime together and with our “pack” (which includes their parents, other dachshunds, a labrador retriever, and our cat). For the safety of our puppies, we do not begin socializing outside of our home until they’ve had their first set of vaccines. Our puppies are available to go to their new homes at 6-8 weeks of age, depending on if I feel they’re ready.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include piebald, red, chocolate, fawn (isabella), fawn (isabella) and tan, chocolate and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Kimberly was amazing to work with. It happened to be an extremely difficult time in my life, and this little puppy has been a perfect buddy through it all. His personality is is so sweet and he’s afraid of nothing lol. It was both Kimberly’s and my first time using a flight nanny- and everything went great. Very easy to work with. Thank you so much for my new best friend 💗

Kimberly was so responsive and helpful during the process, whether it was questions about the breed, coordinating how to get our puppy from Atlanta to Boston, she made the whole process so easy. Better yet, even after taking home our puppy, Kim consistently checked in on our little guy and helped us in the puppy stage. I cant imagine a better process and we looked for a long time and nothing seemed to work so I cant help but think it was all meant to be.We LOVE our Enzo so much and his lineage is perfect and het could not be a better looking dachshund

Kimberly was excellent in communicating with me on our new puppy. She responded to my inquiry very quickly and allowed me to ask any questions that I had about the puppy. We quickly determined that she was the puppy we wanted and Kimberly was great in helping us meet in a great location so we could get her. I could tell she was so good with her dogs and cared very much about them. I love this little pup already, and so happy to have found her with Honey Creek Doxies. My little Poppy is a doll and we are enjoying every minute with her.

Kimberly was excellant to work with from start to finish. She was very pleasant and accomidating. This was the first time my boyfriend and i took the leap to purchase a dog online so it was very nerve racking for us; but Kimberly was great and helped to align everything up and even sent us pictures occasionally. I would highly recommend her as a breeder.

Kimberly was so great to work with. This was our first time using Good Dog, but it was so easy to communicate with Kimberly. We received regular updates and even video of our sweet Winnie. Through every interaction, you can feel the love she has for her puppies. We're so glad we found our perfect match, both in puppy and breeder.
