  • Why did you start breeding?

    My husband has shown dogs off and on for over 25 years. After breeding labs for many years, we decided to downsize to the dachshund.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our dogs are members of our family first and foremost. They enjoy walks around the farms and evenings on the couch with us.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Amy

Amy has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Amy partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes a health guarantee, AKC paperwork, a vet visit, deworming and first round of shots and plenty of puppy socialization. Breeding rights available to approved homes for additional fee. Deposit will hold puppy of your choice. Balance is due at pick up.”

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
