I'm Joni O., the breeder behind Honeydew Ranch located in Sultan, WA. We are committed to always responsibly breeding with the best interest of our puppies’ health and longevity at the forefront. We fell in love with the breed because of the personality. There’s hardly a better feeling than being able to share them with other families that will love them.

Why did you start breeding?
I started breeding my horses, which eventually turned into miniature horses when I was getting to old to ride. I turned several of my minis into Multiple World Champions. I had always wanted another lab I loved the Chocolate labs. After a long search I found a suitable female and male which started my dog breedingWhat makes your program special?
My program is special, because of all the hands-on training they learn here at HoneydewRanch. I don't rehome my retired dogs they are my family. We will only have a few more Raya litters and the labs will be retired. At that time full attention will be on our Dachshunds & horsesWhat are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Dachshund puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Joni has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Joni partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“AKC registration, early puppy care vaccinations, worming’s and Microchip. We puppy sit for our clients if they are close and we are always available for any questions. Each case would be looked at individually. We want to keep our clients happy.”

Litter update on 29 Aug •…Tot’s little girl has her furever home. The family has worked with dachshund rescue, her son is a delightful young man and absolutely loves his new puppy. It was a very hard loss for them when the lost their last one

Program update on 24 Aug •…Pups go outside in a covered kennel (for eagles) when I am working outside. Generally, we are out there from, 1 to 3 hours. It is great for them to have a bigger space and be on natural grass They have a big grass mat in their playpens and for the most part they potty on that I can't turn them loose in the backyard. I have approximately 1/2 acre of fenced backyard with to many shrubs and places to hide, They get turned loose to play, in my house where they are safe from Eagles or hiding under bushes and we can't find them A few pups have gone to their forever homes I have a few boys and 1 female to place. People have asked, however, I don't know if I will breed the girls again. It's possible, but not probable, they have each had 2 litters and generally I don't have a 3rd litter All these dogs have full AKC papers. They have been wormed and their toenails clipped every 2 weeks The first vaccine has been given, they have been vet-checked and have a microchip placed. Both litters have the same protocol

Program update on 23 Aug •…Pups have been Vet checked. Microchipped wormed every 2 weeks and ready to go home. I have 4 kids that still need their forever home. Price is reduced to 1800. Possibly a bit less to the perfect home

Program update on 19 Aug •…Pups got to go outside for a few hours while I worked in the yard. It was the first time both litters were together. They did great I have 2 boys from Calla’s litter available I have 1 female & 1 male from Tot’s litter

Calla is an excellent mama. She is a Chocolate Piebald. The sire Rye is a cream Brindle I know I have 2 Piebald Puppies, the colors are unusual to me so I am waiting to announce colors

Joni was very nice to work with. She takes real good care of her puppies. They are well socialized with people and other dogs. She is keeping in touch with me. She also said I can board my puppy with her at a very reasonable price when needed. Thank you Joni for a beautiful puppy both physically and personality wise.
