I'm Jennifer M., the breeder behind Honor Havanese located in Summerfield, FL. I am an AKC BREEDER OF MERIT. I strive to breed puppies that adhere to the AKC standard of perfection in conformation, temperament and good health. All my breeding dogs are health tested for the recommended test for their breed. My dogs also have wonderful, smart, easy to live with personalities.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I fell in love with grooming dogs and dog shows. I got my first Poodle and loved transforming it into a perfect dog. Then I started breeding them to perfect them in structure and personality too. I love making families happy with something they can be proud to love and ease of training and healthy for a very long time. I enjoy helping people get the perfect pet for many years of unconditional love.

  • What makes your program special?

    I’m a Breeder of Merit with AKC. I produce top quality show and family pets. Aim to breed for health personality and overall structure to produce perfection. Parents are health tested for genetic issues. And most are shown to AKC championships to prove they are qualified. Our puppies come with supplies. Vet exam. Microchip. Shots. Socialized and guaranteed.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Poodle puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Jennifer

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Prices can vary slightly based on breed, sex, and color. Deposits required to hold a specific puppy until he/she goes home. The balance is due when the puppy is picked up. $500 Deposit for a healthy havanese or poodle puppy. Non-refundable deposit required to hold a specific puppy, transferrable to future litter if puppy is not a match or healthy when ready to go.”

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Legg-Calve-Perthes (OFA), Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy (PRA-crd), Standard Wirehaired Dachshund Type, von Willebrand Disease III (vWD III), Chondrodystrophy and IVDD Risk (CDDY-IVDD), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
