I'm Alexis S., the breeder behind Hoosier Doxies located in Middlebury, IN. We love this breed and the experience of having litters! Our mission is to raise pups that are set to become the best companions. Our mission is to breed the very best dogs that we can, to raise them with love, and to select their future homes with careful attention.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We originally got Charlee as a pet but decided to breed her for our kiddos to experience what it is like having puppies. We fell in love with the breed which is what led us to our second female, Edey!

  • What makes your program special?

    Our program stands out among the rest because our females are raised in our home. They are kennel free and our pets. We only have 2 litters a year as of now!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include brindle, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Alexis

Alexis has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Alexis partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes AKC paperwork, vet visit, vaccinations, deworming, socialization & some potty training! We ask for a $500 deposit to hold your puppy. Once the puppy is old enough to go home we ask for the remaining balance!”

Contract & health guarantee

Alexis may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
