Christina M.

Breeder of Doberman Pinschers

Meet the breeder

I'm Christina M., the breeder behind Horizon Canines located in Creston, OH. We pride ourselves in breeding healthy family-raised Dobermans. All of our dogs are health tested, socialized, and trained. Our family has a deep love of animals. We live on a small hobby farm. We raise health-tested AKC European Dobermans. The Dobermans come from a working bloodline with certifications. All of our animals live in our home and are our pets. They are so loved and spoiled!

Q. & A. with Christina

  • Why did you start breeding?

My love of dogs and puppies naturally drew me into breeding. I love the work and spend countless hours playing with and training my pups. My favorite day is “gotcha day”. I live for the moment the puppy is united with their forever family. It’s like Christmas!
  • What makes your program special?

I have designed my breeding program around experiences I had as a new puppy owner. I start the puppies on potty training and introduce kennel time to ease the transition into their new homes. I spend many hours handling the pups. They are well-loved when they leave my care. Our breeding dogs are family and get the best care possible. No expense is spared! I send the pups home with a loving puppy pack to get them started. They get a bag of their food, a blanket that smells like mom and litter mates, some goodies for the new owners, and a 3-ring binder with health information inside. I offer 24/7 support to all my families.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and rust and red and rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
