TAMMY B.

Breeder of Labrador Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm TAMMY B., the breeder behind Horizon Labradors LLC located in Canon, GA. We are breeders of excellent quality AKC registered Labrador Retrievers. Whether you're looking for a pet, a hunting buddy, or both, we have an extreme love of labs. Labs are an awesome breed, they make the best family pet and are excellent hunters. Great for both kids and adults.

Q. & A. with TAMMY

  • Why did you start breeding?

My husband and I have a poultry farm that keeps us home all the time, so breeding became something to connect us to the outside world. Our first litter was born in November 2001, we enjoyed the puppies so much. Meeting the wonderful families was the icing on the cake. We kept a puppy from that breeding and purchased another puppy which became the foundation of one of my oldest lineages.
  • What makes your program special?

The health of the dog is always my priority and next my focus is temperament. I will choose temperament over looks every day of the week because people will love an ugly dog if it acts right. We have spent years working on our breeding program and my oldest lineage is on its 8th generation. That makes me so proud.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in a kennel on my property.
