I'm Anastacia H., the breeder behind Horten K-9 Wiggles located in Muscatine, IA. We strive to breed good tempered family standard Australian Shepherds with great health and of good qualities. The goal we set and which I believe is still the most important, is to produce healthy puppies that make a well-rounded character in an adult dog. We are breeders who do everything we can to better the breed and ensure our dogs and puppies are able to get the very most out of life.

Why did you start breeding?
I didn't put much thought into breeding till a neighbor was asking me about the breed and if I'd consider having a litter. I did some research on the breed, asked a lot of questions and after a few years, I decided to go for it.What makes your program special?
I believe my program is beyond special. My family is involved from start to finish. Our dogs are raised in our family home with lots of love and play. We take extra care in their health and well being.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

"Prices include puppy, vaccination/deworm record book, contract, puppy gift bag, puppy food, pup size blanket with mom and littermates scent, and a puppy book. We also offer payment plans. Deposit is nonrefundable however Deposit can go toward future litter. Good for 2 year. Deposit goes toward purchase price."

Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC), Australian Shepherd Type, Cone Degeneration, Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), Generalized, Intestinal Cobalamin Malabsorption (IGS), Australian Shepherd Type, Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Hyperuricosuria (HUU), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis 6 (NCL 6), Multifocal Retinopathy 1 (CMR1), Early Onset Progressive Retinal Atrophy (EOPRA), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
