Meet the breeder

I'm Lauren B., the breeder behind HotShot Kennels located in Okeechobee, FL. At HotShot Kennels, our dogs truly live the best life a dog could ask for. We are proud breeders of Pembroke Welsh Corgis, American Corgis, and Miniature Dachshunds, with a focus on raising puppies who are as healthy in body as they are sound in temperament. Every dog in our program is carefully selected and fully health tested, ensuring that our puppies have the best foundation to grow into strong, happy companions for years to come. Our puppies are raised right in the heart of our cattle ranch, where they are surrounded by the everyday joys of country life. From an early age, they are gently exposed to children, cats, goats, chickens, cows, calves, horses, and other dogs—giving them the confidence and social skills to fit seamlessly into all types of homes and lifestyles. They spend their days playing, exploring, and learning, with plenty of room to run and grow. One of their favorite spots is the creek that runs through our property, where they splash, swim, and build a natural love for water and adventure. We believe that raising puppies isn’t just about producing healthy dogs—it’s about giving them a life full of love, experiences, and purpose from day one. Our goal is to provide families with well-rounded, socialized, and health-tested companions who will bring joy, laughter, and loyalty to their homes for a lifetime.

Lauren was a pleasure and willing to connect with us whenever we had any questions. Our little girls is the most amazing little furbaby and we couldn’t be happier. We look forward to using Lauren again to give our little girl a playmate and furever family member

Was probably the best experience you could dream of! Communication was excellent and every step of the process was excellent! Lover boy has been the most perfect puppy ever and you can clearly tell that Lauren is a very knowledgeable and excellent breeder! If anyone is looking for a puppy I really couldn’t recommend anyone more!

We had a great experience with Lauren. Pigeon was even crate-trained when we received her! 15 weeks old. She is a clever canine to boot - she learned sit, shake-paw, lie down, and roll over in the first 2 days. Our other dog absolutely loves her new BFF. Lauren was quick to answer any questions we had before adopting, during the process, and after. This was our first adoption of a pure-breed. Glad we chose a breeder who cares about the DNA checks for this breed. Her dogs live with many children as well as other animals, which has made Pigeon very happy to meet cats, dogs, and any person willing to greet her. We highly recommend Lauren and her corgis! They are adorable, well-adjusted to all the sights and sounds of busy family life. She didn't flinch when 3 rockets were launched by SpaceX in 48 hours!

We had such a great experience with Lauren throughout the entire process of getting Cooper. She was incredibly responsive, always keeping us updated and answering every question we had. It was clear how much she cared for and loved the puppies, and we felt completely confident that Cooper was getting the best care before we picked him up. We’re so grateful for such a positive experience and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a puppy!

I couldn’t have asked for a better breeder during this process! I was nervous at first because I’ve only ever rescued, but Lauren made sure to guide me every step of the way. She was so accommodating and understanding, and tried her very best to give us the best experience ever. Even now, after having my puppy for around a month, she still makes sure to answer all my questions. Huge thanks to her!
